QUESTIONS OF RELEVANCE

Q? How are women treated in your church? Are they allowed to preach like the men do??

If you mean “treated” in the context of “authorized responsibilities and authority in the government of the organizational aspects of the operations such as; Titles, Positions, Ministries, ect.. All in the Body of Christ are “treated” and loved as Jesus instructed and commanded that we treat one another.

Follow up Ans.: The LJCC segment of the Body of Christ uses the
Holy Bible scriptural translations of the original 1618 A.D. revised King James
Version to set up the governing of the Churches organizations. We follow the
exact precedents that Jesus and the original Apostles set up, and use the
scriptural letters to the churches as the examples of implementation concerning
women’s roles in these areas. There are no BIG “I”s or little “u”s in the Body
of Christ, male nor female. Everything is according to God’s order, purpose and
will. Preaching is historically in the Bible done by those whom God calls to
preach. This is a function of leadership where there are Elders, Pastors, and
Bishops. These are considered “Heads” with followers. The masculine human man, or
male in the order God has set, is always the Head, therefore women were not
called to the ministry of “Preaching”. They did and do have many other
ministries and titles in ministries. Some of the activities required to preach
are not lined up with the conduct of “Holy Women” as according to what is
written in the scriptures.

(All
applying scriptures can be made available). We go STRICTLY by the scriptures.

Q? I am a recent graduate of a local theology school here in Columbus, graduating top of my class and voted best female minister at school. I can’t wait to open up my own church. Would you take someone like me under your wings?

No, unless you give up the assumption the God has females as “Heads” of Church organizations.

Q? Do you allow members to wear jeans during service? Is there any dress code??

No code, a policy. We do feel that when you visit special places, you dress ways to show reverence to the events and places, (ie. graduations, out to dinner with a special friend, even certain restaurants, job interviews). We admonish our seasoned members to keep the house of God as a special place, for a special time for your presentations to a special God.

Q? My son loves to wear skinny jeans. Do you allow your son to wear skinny jeans? Why?

No, conforming to the world today requires that men do many effeminate behaviors which are historically against the scriptural teachings. Men should not adorn themselves accordingly as women do culturally. Tight clothing is for a sensual presentation, lasciviousness. This according to the scriptures is to be “put off”.

Q? My baby daddy spends a lot of time with me and sometimes we miss service. What should I do?

Encourage him to come to services with you, if this is where you would like to be, or arrange a different bonding time.

QUESTIONS OF GENERAL CONCERN

Q? How late do you hold service? I am a student and need time to do my studies.

Generally on Sunday 11-1pm

Q? Where can I find daycare during services times?

In the building.

Q? How much money should I bring for offering? My last church wanted us to bring our tax refund checks.

Whatever you are lead by God, or even none if you cannot.

Q? Do you have security at church?

Yes.

QUESTIONS REGARDING OUTREACH

Q? I cant help to notice the location is around a lot of gang territory. What are you doing to reach out? Is it effective?

Been here over 40 years, I know the majority of the people in the community and we all respect each other’s space and times. Those in our area have great respect for those coming and going to church. We also have great deterrents such as cameras and well known security. Our engagement with the various entities of the community, regardless of their stigmas, works very well.

Q? My little brother needs a mentor. I do the best I can to keep him around good peoples but he seems to drift. What programs do you offer at church that could help him stay on track??

We have a variety of mentoring programs for all problems and situations.

Q? My mom just passed away and I don’t know how to deal with it. What can the church do to help??

Grieving counseling.

Q? I need food. Does your church operate a pantry and offer lunches/breakfast??

No, not at this time. Possible future ministries.
